RiechesBaird wins 2008 Telly Award for Sharp Solar

IRVINE, California - September 10, 2008 - RiechesBaird, a brand creation and development firm that specializes in building the value of B2B companies, is the recipient of a Bronze Telly Award for its entry titled, “Smokestack.” The animated short was developed on behalf of RiechesBaird’s client, Sharp Solar Energy Solutions Group. The annual Telly awards honor the best in commercials, videos, films and Internet work amongst leading advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments worldwide.
RiechesBaird’s 15-second “Smokestack” spot was entered in the “Best Use of Animation” category for regional television and multi-market cable. The work was based upon Flash animation created by RiechesBaird and produced by Beard Boy Productions, a leading commercial production company located in Tustin, Calif. that has won 33 Telly Awards in the past.

The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. This year, more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and many foreign countries were submitted for consideration. Entries included companies, agencies and organizations of all sizes, from large multinational media companies to small ad agencies and local production houses.
A prestigious judging panel of more than 40 accomplished industry professionals – each a past winner of a Silver Telly, the top honor – judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Judges evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work against a high standard of merit.
